Midweek Motivation - Christmas Flowers and Foliage

Hello all - did you know that there is still time to take part in our Christmas Flowers and Foliage challenge? Just click on the challenges button on the right to take you to all the details.
Before you go though how about a bit of inspiration to send you on your way? Take a look at the card I have made for you today

My foliage is in the form of a wreath hanging on a door. I have cut card stock panels and sponged them to make them look like the panels on a door and added a decorative brad for a handle.
Please do pop over to my blog for all the details on the materials I used for this card - happy crafting -

Congratulations ladies, these are all fabulous and please help yourselves to the badge on our sidebar.

Midweek Motivation - Contemporary Christmas

Hello again,

I hope you are all enjoying our theme this week - if you have entered already, then good luck - but if you haven't there is still plenty of time to join us here at Make My Monday.

So, I thought I would pop back with a little midweek motivation to keep you going ...

I have kept this one nice and simple - it only took about 15 minutes to make. Exactly what we need when we have a huge pile of christmas cards to make.

I hope you can come along and join us and don't forget to pop back on Sunday for our next set of winners.

Mid Week Inspiration - Santa, The Big Guy

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Mid Week Inspiration for our current challenge theme which this time is a rather inky and glimmery creation which I hope you'll like.

The background paper was made with a panel of watercolour paper which I coloured with Distress Stains in Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass and Crushed Olive. I found that if you coat the watercolour paper with water before pressing into the ink stains on a craft sheet the colours spread much more freely. Repeat this step until the paper is covered.
I then embossed the panel with a Darice snowflake swirl corner design, turning the card upside down to emboss the other side. I then brushed the raised areas with Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink wihich gave lots of lovely shimmer.
I stamped the Crafty Individuals Santa collage with VersaFine Smokey Gray ink on to thick, smooth cartridge paper and coloured it with Distress Stains. I cut it out with deckle scissors to leave a border and added it to a red card mat.
I added the background paper to a red card mat and then attached the panel to a white square card blank and finished off with a computer generated greeting on a red mat.

You still have a few days left to enter the challenge and hope to see you there.
